Young Media Makers Competition
CALLING ALL YOUNG THINKERS!
Have you ever imagined a world where working conditions could be fairer? Have you considered a world where leaders and community members collaborate to tackle complex problems? Can you envision leading that kind of life?
This summer, join Chicago Fair Trade in bringing that vision to life by creating media that inspires others to think and act more consciously.
We educate and advocate to create a fairer trade system, one that doesn’t exploit workers or harm the environment. Can you help us educate others to be ethical consumers?
By being more conscious consumers of products and media, we can use our power to make changes in the way things are.
2026 Media Makers Competition: “In My Sustainable World”
We are inviting 8th to 12th graders located within the Chicagoland area to submit an entry to our competition, which will be showcased at our museum.
Submissions will be due June 28th, 2026.
Every participant will receive a Certificate Of Completion issued by Chicago Fair Trade. There will be two competition winners, winning either: (value of 50$ each)
50$ Gift Card from The Women & Children’s Bookstore (Andersonville)
OR
30$ Gift Card to FIYA, Jerry’s Sandwiches, or Geraldine’s
20$ Gift Card to the Chicago Fair Trade Museum Gift Shop
