Katherine’s 60th Birthday & 10th Anniversary

Our fearless CFT leader, devoted friend, and legendary community organizer and cook, Katherine Bissell Cordova, turns 60 this July and is celebrating 10 years at Chicago Fair Trade!

This special woman has brought so many wonderful events to our community; it’s time to host one for her! Our goal is to fundraise $10,000 in honor of Katherine’s 10 years at CFT.

Through Katherine’s dynamic leadership, CFT started:

• Hosting annual Holiday Pop Up Shops,
• Created the world’s first Fair Trade museum,
• Started ongoing teen education programs,
• Facilitated more clothing swaps than you can count, and
• Has exponentially grown the business member network!

For those who don’t know, Chicago Fair Trade is the leading voice of the fair trade movement in the US, and Katherine has mentored leaders from other cities and organizations. Fair traders in the US look to Chicago Fair Trade as a source of inspiration, and we owe much of that to Katherine’s 10 years of service in creating a more just world. Let’s secure additional funds to continue this incredible momentum!

Of course, we’ll have food, drinks, music, and excellent vibes. Tickets are $60 (in honor of her 60 years).
