Chicago Levi’s Action! Join us during this International Week of Action #signtheaccord!
From September 5-11, activists from London to Florence, from Delhi to Bangalore, Philadelphia to Honolulu, and more will join together and demand that Levi’s sign the International Accord!
Join this global campaign calling on Levi’s to do the right thing and protect the workers who make its clothing! Wednesday, September 7 at 5:30!
On August 11, Chicago Fair Trade and allies came out strong! We met in front of Levi’s flagship store on the Magnificent Mile. We chanted, marched and shouted our demand that Levi’s join the International Accord for Health and Safety. Unlike many of its competitors, Levi’s has refused to sign onto this lifesaving program, leaving workers in its factories at risk.
On Wednesday, September 7, we are going back to Levi’s on Michigan Avenue to see if they delivered the letter we left with them on August 11 to their corporate headquarters and to let them know we mean business. Join us that day! We will also have on-line actions you can take that week-stay tuned!
