3:00-4:15: Chocolate-making workshop led by Anielka and Jonathan of Lacuna Cacao. In addition to making chocolate, you will learn about their work with cacao farmers in Nicaragua. Limited tickets, so purchase now!

4:30-5:00: Fair trade chocolate and wine tasting led by Melissa of ZACHI ChocolateMelissa will pair ZACHI’s premium fair trade chocolates made from finest organic Ecuadorian cacao with fair trade wine.

5:15-5:45: Chicago’s legacy as the Candy Capital of the World led by Dr. Howard Rosing, Professor of Food Justice at DePaul University and co-author of Chicago: A Food Biography. Learn about the fascinating role that candy has played in our city’s culinary history.

6:00-6:30: Fair Trade Flowers led by special guest Rosita Altamirano of Florecal, a fair trade flower farm in Ecuador. Learn how they run a highly successful business while paying fair wages and providing a flourshing work environment for all.
