Swap & Shop
Come join us at a gender-free outdoor clothing swap. Bring your old garments to donate and swap for something newish!
Whitney Young High School’s Fair Trade Club is hosting its second gender free/neutral clothing swap (this time with a shop aspect!) on April 18th outside the Promontory. A clothing swap is a fun and accessible way to participate in sustainable fashion while having the space to socialize and build a community. We’re explicitly hosting a gender free event, in order to be inclusive of the LGBTQ+ community in Chicago.
Bring your old garments to donate and swap for something newish and gender affirming! We’ll also be having some free clothes for those who don’t have anything to swap, and for those who want to shop we’ll have a few tables where local sustainable and/or socially conscious businesses will be selling their apparel/accessories.
Currently we are planning to cap attendees at 50 people to fit COVID-19 guidelines. However if you are have proof of full vaccination or a negative test (PCR) 1-3 days before the event you do not count against this capacity. If this is the case, please contact us (wyfairtrade@gmail.com or DM us on Instagram @wyfairtradeclub) so we can register you without you counting against the capacity.
