Conscious Closet Club Monthly Meetup & Mend with Friends

Did you know there is already enough clothing on the planet for the next six generations?

One powerful way to fight fashion waste – and save money – is to extend the life of the clothes you already own. Join Chicago Fair Trade for a special combined session of our Monthly Conscious Closet Club Meetup and Mend with Friends at the Chicago Fair Trade Museum. We’ll be engaging in thoughtful conversation about ethical fashion with a hands-on mending workshop for all levels!

Bring something that needs repairing – woven or knitted items are welcome – or just come for a chat and some snacks!

About the Chicago Conscious Closet Club

The Chicago Conscious Closet Club is an initiative of Chicago Fair Trade and a community of Chicagoans interested in ethical clothing and fashion. Inspired by the book The Conscious Closet by Elizabeth L. Cline, the group learns from one another, shares resources, and explores all aspects of ethical fashion – from garment care and repair to labor rights and responsible consumption.
