Cline, an expert in and campaigner for sustainability and labor rights in the fashion industry and author of Overdressed and The Conscious Closet.\n\n\n\nOur Trailblazer Award winner is MarketPlace: Handwork of India, an innovative not-for-profit organization increasing economic opportunities for low-income women in India and their families and communities. MarketPlace has grown from a small-scale venture beginning in 1980 to a full-scale operation working with 14 co-operatives consisting of 480 artisans who produce high-quality women’s apparel and home decor.\n\n\n\nWe are so excited to come together and honor the incredible work of Elizabeth Cline and MarketPlace to transform trade into a force for global good.\n\n\n\nNow in its eighteenth year, Globalfest is a time for the whole fair trade community to come together and celebrate and this year we have so much to celebrate!
