The Sanctuary Church Holiday Bazaar: Hope for the Holidays

November 18, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

“The Sanctuary Church exists to help everyday people become passionate followers of Jesus Christ. Our attenders are – like our community – diverse in age, life-stage and ethnicity, but we all come together to worship the same God on Sundays at 9:30 and 11 a.m.

When we moved into our permanent location just off of 55 in Romeoville, we had a vision to use our building for more than just church services: we want to serve our community. One small way we do that is by hosting Hope for the Holidays, a non-profit fair trade holiday bazaar. We invite fair trade vendors to share not only their products but also their stories of changed lives through the items they sell. We make our bazaar unique by creating a coffeehouse-like experience the first evening of the sale. We offer fair trade coffee and locally made treats, as well as live music. On Saturday, we offer ethnic lunch choices. But the spotlight is really on the vendors that participate. Many of our attenders make a day of it! We hope you will join us this year at Hope for the Holidays on Nov. 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Nov. 18 from 10 to 2 p.m.

We are so excited to partner with Chicago Fair Trade to educate and equip people to shop transformationally rather than transactionally.”
